Taste buds and Sleep

Six cycles of chemotheraphy is over. Evaluation complete CT/PET scan scheduled by Dec 13 to be done at St Lukes E. Rodriguez. Ernie is taking long naps 2 or 3 hours in one nap sometimes twice a day. No that he is weak or feeling any discomfort - it's just it seems his body needs all that sleep.

I read somewhere that after chemotheraphy, many dead cells (attacked by the drugs) clog up in the body and need to be expelled as soon as possible-through urine sweat or stool. He mowed the back lawn today for over an hour and produced a lot of sweat, he is drinking a lot of fluids and we are studying doing an in home coffee enema every week. Coffee it is said, in the intestines is a powerful de-toxifier.

If there is a side effect -it is his taste buds. He complains about everything tasting bad but I force him to eat anyway and he has managed to maintain his weight. After a few days after chemo, his normal taste returns and his appetite is as good as ever.

I started today reading some bibles verses that give me great encouragement and strength. So I share :

" The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel." - Matthew 15 : 31 NIV

Join us in prayer...and claim Ernie's Total HEALING! Storm the heavens that the coming evaluation will show stunning results if not a MIRACLE that all tumors have disappeared!! Our GOD is a GOD of miracles! Praise be our GOD!

The Sound of Music

Weeks have moved on quickly...and uneventfully. Which is good news because here at home, everything seems, looks and feels normal! We have set up the Christmas decorations and our house is filled with little glowing lights. Ernie wants to buy a classic star parol-something he has always dreamed about!

No clue whatsoever at home that a family member is undergoing grave cancer treatment except for the massive amount of veggies and fruits we have exploding from the refs which we use for juicing and colorful bottles of organic supplements which we source from Nutrilite and (recently added what is claimed a medical breakthrough in Natural Immunotherapy-a unique compound from Japanese medicinal mushrooms) among many other natural complimentary medicines, too many to detail here in the blog. I prepare all of  these portioned out 3 x a day after meals and 3x a day before meals (Ryan included), and I do with great pleasure knowing deep inside it is truly helping Ernie to get better. You only have to see him and you will undoubtedly agree!

Many people who see him in our community, in church are amazed with his energy, his "healthy" looks and his unfading sense of humor. One friend whispered in my ear "Look at Ernie...this is already a miracle, PRAISE GOD!

Mama, my mom, 2 nieces, Ernie Ryan and I went to watch the classic timeless musicale LIVE "The Sound of Music" with an all Filipino cast at the breathtakingly beautiful Resorts World Performing Arts Theater at Newport Mall. The show touched my heart bringing back the days of my youth (gradeschool) and witnessing the amazing talent of the performers...made me proud to be FILIPINO! What touched me most were the lyrics..."climb every mountain, forge every stream, follow every rainbow...till you find your DREAM!..."

And my DREAM is for Ernie to be totally healed, in the most powerful name of JESUS CHRIST!

We go for 6th cycle of chemotheraphy today. Please pray with me, and pray constantly, never tiring, storming the heavens,  and claim Ernie's total healing. In JESUS name AMEN!

Walking Faster than Me

Ernie had always wanted to have our expired US visas renewed even before his diagnosis last July. Despite his major health disruption, he managed to do all the online requirements and collection of needed documents, etc etc. for the US Embassy. He prepared diligently for the interview day.

If you have ever tried to get a US visa in the Philippines, you know what a daunting task that is!

We arrived an hour early for the appointment. Decided to kill time at nearly Manila Hotel (newly renovated and looking really nice!)-enjoying a plate of fresh fruits and coffee. Ernie loves reading the papers savoring every page.

We had to park a distance from the embassy and leave celfones in the car because they are not allowed in the premises of the embassy. I was soooo pleasantly surprised to see him walking fast ....leaving me behind! That's pretty good for someone on 4th cycle of chemotheraphy!

Uneventful 5th chemo cycle last Friday. Saturday Ernie had a full active day at SMX Convention Center and today Sunday, another full active day without showing any signs getting a bit tired. Appetite and attitude remain very good. Everyone we meet who know, are amazed and say how well he looks!

All your prayers are being heard in heaven! God is GOOD! All the time. Thank you!
